Cinzia Moniaci – “The Answer

“I have been singing for a couple of decades now”, explains Moniaci, “and am self–taught, no vocal training.  I love that more natural rock voice actually!  “The Answer” is not your typical top track that you would immediately think of, however it resonates with your heart.  There is something about it where if you have compassion, if you have openness, I feel like we are going towards more as a society.  I hung out with a lot of people at Coachella and they are all oriented towards good vibes and energy and connecting and there is more of that sense that it’s universal communal love and in a sense not the physical love but the more spiritual love.  “The Answer” is very much like that we are all looking for ‘the answer’ but where do you find it.”

Born and raised in Italy, Cinzia Moniaci lived in Paris and London during her studies and earned a Ph.D in Communication while freelancing as a fashion and music journalist. Her passion for fashion and music began early on while singing for local bands in London and working in Paris.  While at a business convention she met her husband, a UCLA business graduate and accomplished musician.  They formed a band together in 1997.  Moniaci and her husband wrote and performed songs that were featured on several TV shows and movies, most notably on the soundtrack of Dawson’s Creek. They were offered a record deal shortly after, but wary of the imminent changes of the music business, they decided instead to pursue the dream of having a family and building successful businesses.

Moniaci has also been celebrating an International Fashion Career, having designed the popular handbag line “Moni Moni,” in 2004 (monimoni.com), proudly displayed on many Hollywood celebrities (Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Viola Davis, Kristen Bell, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, etc.) and in fashion magazines around the world (Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Harpers Bazaar, W, etc.).  Moniaci earned a scholarship in fashion at FIDM in Los Angeles.  She recently secured a licensing deal to design her MONI MONI Eyewear collection and opened an Interior Design company DreamLightDesign.com, collaborating with her husband, designing luxury homes by the beach.  They continue to write and license music and have a catalog of over 150 songs, written in different languages.  Moniaci speaks 5 different languages.  She and her husband live in Los Angeles with their daughter who, true to family genes, sings, dances, plays the piano and loves to spend her summers in Europe with her family every year.
