Nine-time GRAMMY Award-nominated saxophonist extraordinaire Dave Koz brings his 19th Annual Dave Koz Christmas Tour 2016 featuring special guests Jonathan Butler, Valerie Simpson, and Kenny Lattimore, to the Chicago Theatre, 175 North State Street, Chicago, IL 60601, on Sunday, December 11th, 2016, at 8:00pm.  Together, the four remarkable artists will put on a high-energy show filled with fresh renditions of holiday classics as well as other selections that capture the spirit of the season.

“Can you believe that!” states Koz excitedly on his 19th Annual Dave Koz Christmas Tour.  “Coming out of my mouth it feels kind of funny!  I don’t know how that happened…I think because family was part of the DNA, the building blocks of this tour, I think that’s one of the reasons why we have been able to sustain it for so many years and watch family’s come; especially, in Chicago at the Chicago Theatre, seeing the same people come, kids growing up, starting in elementary school and now they’ve married and many even have kids of their own…it’s crazy! It’s really wonderful!”

The irrepressible Jonathan Butler, an “alumni” of the tour, has earned accolades in the R&B, contemporary jazz and gospel fields and recently released a new studio album entitled “Free”. Acclaimed vocalist Valerie Simpson co-wrote such classic hits such as, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “You’re All I Need to Get By,” “Reach Out and Touch Somebody’s Hand” and “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing” as half of the songwriting/performing/producing entity Ashford and Simpson. She recently released a new solo album, “Dinosaurs Are Coming Back Again”. GRAMMY Award-nominated singer/songwriter Kenny Lattimore, has released seven solo albums, including his latest, “Anatomy of a Love Song.

In the 25 years since the release of his self-titled solo debut album, saxophonist Dave Koz has received nine GRAMMY Award-nominations, had nine No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Current Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, toured the world and been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Over the course of his career, Koz has also played with such artists as Burt Bacharach, Ray Charles, Herb Alpert, Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, Shelby Lynne, Kenny Loggins, U2 and Michael McDonald. A platinum-selling artist, he is also known as a humanitarian, entrepreneur, radio host and instrumental music advocate.
