“The Foreigner” starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan – Trailer | STX Films
THE FOREIGNER, starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan, is a timely action thriller from the director of “Casino Royale” Martin Campbell and is a ‘must see’ movie. Campbell reunites with Brosnan who starred in the James Bond 007 action-thriller Golden Eye.
The film tells the story of humble London businessman Quan (Chan), whose long-buried past erupts in a revenge-fueled vendetta when the only person left for him to love — his teenage daughter — is taken from him in a senseless act of politically-motivated terrorism.
In his relentless search for the identity of the terrorists, Quan is forced into a cat- and -mouse conflict with a British government official (Brosnan), whose own past may hold clues to the identities of the elusive killers.
THE FOREIGNER opens in Theatres across America on Friday, October 13th, 2017.

Jackie Chan has made his name in Hollywood with his daring stunts and has become one of the most influential Chinese actors in the world. Since his first move to Hollywood, Chan has made many critically acclaimed blockbusters, including Rush Hour series, Shanghai Noon series and The Karate Kid. He received an Honorary Oscar for his achievement in cinema in 2016. Chan is the first Chinese and the fourth Asian filmmaker to receive such an honor; Japanese director Akira Kurosawa, Indian director Satyajit Ray and Japanese animation master Miyazaki Hayao were also awarded the prize before him.
Chan recently spent more time working in China due to the rapid development of the Chinese film industry and the growing demand for Chinese movies. Through his music company, Jackie Chan Group Korea, he as been making moves into the Global K-Pop music genre with his group, JJCC, a six-member South Korean K-Pop boy idol group.
Jackie Chan, it is said, put in so much effort to assemble a great cast and crew for The Foreigner. He chose Pierce Brosnan as his rival in the movie. For many Chinese moviegoers, their understanding of James Bond indeed started with Pierce Brosnan. The showdown between Jackie Chan and Piece Brosnan can be seen as the duel between the agents of the East and the West. (from The Foreigner press release)

Music by: Cliff Martinez
Cliff Martinez was born in the Bronx and raised in Ohio, moving to California in 1976, just in time for the upheaval occasioned by punk. His stints as drummer for The Weirdos, Lydia Lunch, Jim Thirwell, The Dickies and most notably The Red Hot Chili Peppers, variously preceded and followed a resume item of signal importance in Martinez’s past, the evidence of which is close at hand. It could not have been an altogether bad thing, to be caught up in the mounting buzz surrounding the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the early years of the 1980’s. Cliff Martinez was the drummer and co-writer on that band’s first two albums. His stint with the Peppers came with corollary benefits, such as the band’s rehearsing for months at a stretch in the Detroit living room of their producer, Funkadelic overlord George Clinton. It was his investigation of advancements in music technology that would lead ultimately to Martinez abandoning rock drumming for a career in film scoring. His film and tv scoring credits include: War Dogs 2016; The Neon Demon 2016; The Knick 2014-2015; Far Cry 4 2014; My Life Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn 2014; Ménage à trois: 60 jours sur Mea Culpa 2014; The Normal Heart 2014; Mea culpa 2014; Only God Forgives 2013; Golem 2013; The Company You Keep 2012; Spring Breakers 2012; Arbitrage 2012; Contagion 2011; Drive 2011; The Lincoln Lawyer 2011; À l’Origine 2009; Severe Clear 2009; Spy(ies) 2009; Vice 2008; Stiletto 2008; First Snow 2006; Havoc 2005; Wicker Park 2004; Wonderland 2003; Narc: Shooting Up 2003; Solaris 2002; Narc 2002; Traffic 2000; The Limey 1999; Wicked 1998; Schizopolis 1996; Gray’s Anatomy 1996; The Underneath 1995; King of the Hill 1993; Black Magic 1992; Kafka 1991; Pump Up the Volume 1990; Sex, Lies, and Videotape 1989; Pee-wee’s Playhouse 1987
