Columbia College Chicago set to present, “The Fresh Connect“, at Conaway Center, 1st Floor, 1104 South Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL 60605, on Saturday, December 2nd from 7:00pm to 10:00pm and is free to the general public.  “The Fresh Connect” is a multidisciplinary event celebrating the many intersections and manifestations of Chicago hip-hop and the launch of the Hip-Hop Studies Minor at Columbia College Chicago with interactive performances, live graffiti art, and more.

Doors Open at 6:00pm with event welcoming beginning at 7:00pm from Amina Norman-Hawkins and BRAVEMONK; Why Hip-Hop Studies? Kelsa Robinson and Onye Ozuzu; Hip-Hop Promo Screening Presented by Doc Unit; Hip-Hop Studies Program Performances Musa Reems and Malibu; Keynote Speaker Ayesha Jaco (Executive Director of M.U.R.A.L./Artistic Director of Move Me Soul); Showcase Performances featuring D-Nick & The Microphone Misfits, Kuumba Lynx, Ajani Jones, Jovan Landry, Sam I Am ft.
